Behaviour or Behavior

Behaviour or Behavior

- Which one is correct word to use?– Asked by Hooda.

Thank you Hooda for asking us question.

There is no difference between Behaviour and Behavior except spelling. Behavior is preferred in American English where Behaviour is preferred in British English. Also Behaviour is widely used in other countries as well like Canada, Australia, India. This difference extends to other derived words also like Behavioural or Behavioral.
It is advisable to use any one form consistently, that means if you are using 'our' at the end, then use Behaviour / Behavioural otherwise use Behavior / Behavioral.

Similar difference is applicable for many other words as well like Honor or Honour, Color or Colour, Flavor or Flavour.
